Daniel Axelsen

Dan first joined Qatalyst in 2010 and re-joined in 2019. Prior to rejoining the firm, Dan held various venture roles including at NEA and Kleiner Perkins where he focused on fintech and digital health investing. His transaction experience at Qatalyst includes's sale to Permira for $1.6B, Magma Design Automation's sale to Synopsys for $550M, NetLogic's sale to Broadcom for $3.9B, Autonomy's sale to HP for $11.7B, Citrix's acquisition of, Michael Rubin’s acquisition of GSI Commerce Assets from eBay to form Kynetics for $498M, Pliant Technology on its sale to SanDisk $327M, and 3PAR's sale to HP for $2.4B.

Dan majored in finance and minored in computer science at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Joseph Wharton Scholar and a Benjamin Franklin Scholar.
