Alan Bressers

Alan joined Qatalyst in November 2009. Alan has over 13 years of technology investment banking experience, beginning his career with Credit Suisse's Technology Group. Alan focuses on mergers and acquisitions advisory in the Semiconductor and Hardware sectors, as well as areas where the intersection of hardware and software are enabling disruptive trends including the Internet of Things, Human-Machine Interface, Machine Learning and Autonomous Robots/Cars. He has advised on transactions representing $100B+ of value, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, hostile takeover defense and financings across a variety of technology sectors. Alan has announced or completed transactions with Atmel, Autonomy, Concur, Google, Isilon, Jasper, Kosmix, Kudelski, Linear Technology, LSI, Magma, Microsemi, National Semiconductor, Netezza, NetLogic, NXP, Palm, QLogic, QuinStreet, Rambus, RMI Corporation, SanDisk, Sandforce, SeaMicro, Standard Microsystems, Tensilica, Validity, VIAVI and Withings.

Alan is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology at the University of Pennsylvania where he received degrees in Economics from the Wharton School and in Systems Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
