Jake O’Donnell

Jake joined Qatalyst in July 2013 and is based in San Francisco. He has 12 years of technology M&A and capital raising experience in the United States and Europe. Prior to joining Qatalyst, Jake worked in the TMT investment banking group at Deutsche Bank.

While at Qatalyst, Jake has advised Advent Software on its sale to SS&C, AlienVault on its sale to AT&T, Cypress Semiconductor on its merger with Spansion, Duo Security on its sale to Cisco, Elance on its merger with oDesk, MyFitnessPal on its sale to Under Armour, SimpliSafe on its majority investment by Hellman & Friedman, Skyscanner on its sale to Ctrip, Swiftkey on its sale to Microsoft, Twitch on its sale to Amazon, Verifone on its sale to Francisco Partners, Withings on its sale to Nokia and Xoom on its sale to PayPal. Jake’s prior transaction experience includes Alibaba Group’s take-private of, Alibaba Group’s restructuring of its relationship with Yahoo!, Amobee’s sale to SingTel, KKR and Silver Lake’s acquisition of Go Daddy, Network Solutions’ sale to, Permira’s acquisition of and the IPOs of Criteo, HomeAway, KAYAK, MediaMind, RenRen and YuMe.

Jake is originally from Phoenix, Arizona and graduated from Santa Clara University, where he received a B.Sc. in Economics from the Leavey School of Business.
