Ran Wei

Ran joined Qatalyst in March 2015. He was previously with Citigroup in its Financial Strategy Group, based in New York, and subsequently its Technology Investment Banking group, based in San Francisco. Ran’s transaction experience includes NXP’s proposed sale to Qualcomm, Atmel’s sale to Microchip, APT’s sale to MasterCard, Avago’s acquisition of LSI, the split of SAIC and Leidos, the sale of CompuCom to Thomas H. Lee Partners and financings for Palo Alto Networks and Red Hat.

Ran is originally from Beijing, China and Toronto, Canada. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Jerome Fisher Program in Management & Technology, receiving a B.S. in Economics with a concentration in Finance and a B.S. in Engineering majoring in Computer Science and Engineering.
