Ali Esfahani

Ali joined Qatalyst in March 2015. Prior to Qatalyst, Ali spent nearly 6 years in the Technology Investment Banking group at Morgan Stanley. Ali’s strategic advisory experience includes BrightRoll’s sale to Yahoo!; BlueKai’s sale to Oracle; Intersil’s acquisition of Techwell; Kik’s strategic investment from Tencent; LinkedIn’s sale to Microsoft; Microsemi’s acquisitions of Zarlink and Symmetricom; Moat’s sale to Oracle; Tango’s strategic investment from Alibaba; WhatsApp’s sale to Facebook; and Xoom’s sale to PayPal. Ali has also advised on the IPOs of Facebook, Green Dot, Lending Club, and Twitter, among others. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2009, Ali worked at Deloitte and Accenture in their technology consulting practices.

Ali is originally from Toronto, Canada and received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from University of Waterloo and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
